I just bought a Dana 60 king pin front out of a Chevy dually.I am going to put it in my Jeep Cherokee. Here is the problem: The dwr(dual wheel rear) has a different set up than a swr(single wheel rear),that makes my front tires stick out of the fender WAY to far.I was told that I could convert my dwr to a swr by changing the front hubs, and maybe the inner shafts. My 60 front seamed to be a great find, but I've also been told that the cost of the conversion could reach the price range of a new Dana 60 set up for my jeep. So here is my question is HOW DO I EXACTLY CONVERT MY AXLES TO A SWR SET UP?
Or if any one out there is looking for a dwr Dana 60 and has a swr Dana 60 that they would like to trade straight across for please let me know. Thank you Jacob
