i was thinking of maybe taking the ol scout out on its first expo this weekend. i was going to maybe just go up to the end of Cohasset Rd. i was going to park at the helicopter pad and just go from there. anyone every wheel there? anyone want to go? i know you can ride dirt bikes up there so i thought maybe you can wheel also. its close for me and thought it would be a good quick day trip. let me know if anyone is interested.

well my friend got the ok from his wife so its on. he is gonna meet me at my house at 8:30am or so. i will need to load, get gas then i was gonna head up. i was thinking of parking at the helipad. i have never been there but i was told i should park there, untrailer and just go from that point. that was my game plan. i would think i should be up there at 9:30 or so. maybe 10:00 at the latest. i just got my rig this summer and have never wheeled in the mud so this should be fun. if anyone would like to meet somewhere just let me know or we could try to meet at the helipad on top of Cohasset.

Where did you go? I waited at the helipad till about 12:30, still had fun, slung a bit of mud, let my son play in the snow, and generally enjoyed the scenery.
Oh well, maybe next time

we unloaded at some towers on the left not to far from when the road turns to dirt. sorry we missed you. i have never been there and i saw someone parked and unloaded there so i thought that would be a good spot. we went up the road from there maybe a mile or so and took some trail on the right and went down that way. we were messing around on the main road on some stuff but i saw some other cars driving up and down the road and i was not sure if we were suppose to be off the main road or not. thats why we went down the trail or logging road. we might go again this weekend. my son had a good time and want to play in the snow again.

Did you guys have a Z71 with a flat trailer?
If so, I saw it on the way out, the helipad is about 4 miles up from there, if you follow that road, it goes down into the canyon, to the creek, there are supposed to be a couple good trails down there.
